The hotel in Kitzbühel originates from a farm dating back to 1416. It is in this year that the farm was mentioned in documents for the first time. Even today the address of the Tennerhof remains unchanged - Griesenauweg.
The property was considered a "respectable farm" at that time. Thanks to the special location, the then “Tennerhof farmers" had the task of observing the weather and hoisting a white sheet in case of an approaching storm. Over the centuries, the chronicle lists several owners. As early as 1778 the farm was called "the estate at Tenner" and thus found its final name.
The grandmother of the current owner acquired the property in 1929, which at that time still had its own farm. In its place the Landsitz Römerhof apartments were built. In 1957, the next generation, Eva & Leopold von Pasquali, took over the business. They upgraded the original house into an elegant 4-star establishment.
Mag. Luigi von Pasquali, the current owner of Tennerhof, joined the business in 1989 and became managing partner in 1991. In 2000, the Tennerhof - as the first hotel in Kitzbühel - was awarded 5 stars. Its membership in the Relais & Châteaux hotel association underlines the exceptional hospitality and excellent culinary experience that has been on offer at the Hotel Tennerhof for more than 30 years.
The spa and wellness area was completely rebuilt and renovated in 2016. Since then, the Relais & Châteaux Hotel Tennerhof has been an official member of Leading Spa Resorts and won the international "Leading Spa Award" in 2018.

in 2017, the first Tennerhof Luxury Chalets were built. The high-end luxury chalets with a living space of up to 120 m² per chalet suite have become a very special vacation home for guests in Kitzbühel. In 2022 another chalet was added. Today we welcome our guests in a total of six chalet suites with private spa and breathtaking views of the Hahnenkamm.
