Ian Fleming - James Bond Double Room 007


For many who do not know yet, Ian Fleming (1908-1964), author of James Bond - 007, spent several years with us in Kitzbuehel. According to his records for him a very defining time.

Ian Fleming left the Royal British military academy as a young man in the 1920s. His mother then sent him to Kitzbuhel to improve his language skills in German for a career in the Foreign Service. He lived in the former guest house and today 5-star luxury hotel Tennerhof Gourmet & Spa de Charme Hotel - Relais & Châteaux and attended a private school in Kitzbuehel.
